011 Old Forge

The southwestern entry to the Park. Snowmobile capital of the Northeast in winter and the gateway to the Fulton Chain of Lakes in summer. Old Forge has been a tourist town since the late 1800s when the railroads first ran out from Utica, and the town hasn’t lost that resort-town feel. The drive out is long (1 hr 20 min) and the route on Route 28 winds through some of the most scenic parts of the western Park.
