Objective
Get all the opposing players in your prison by hitting them with the ball.
Materials
10+ rubber or foam balls.
Preparation
Mark a centerline across the field.
Line the balls along the center of their field.
How to Play
Each team begins along the far edge of their side. The game begins when the referee blows the whistle, and players may rush to the middle to retrieve the balls.
Players try to hit opponents below the neck.
When hit, the referee calls the camper out, who must run to the sideline and wait.
If a player catches a ball before it bounces, then a player from their team may enter the game.
A player may only take three steps after catching or picking up a ball.
While holding a ball, the player cannot move their feet. They can pass the ball to a teammate.
The only way to deflect a ball is while holding another ball. If the player drops the ball he is holding after using it defensively, he is out.
No headshots. Purposeful violation will result in being sent to jail.
Deer and Hunter
Campers (deer) against staff (hunters). Use the boundaries from Capture the Flag. Deer are given 2-4 minutes to hide in the woods. Hunters are each given a dodgeball. Blow the whistle to signal the start of the hunt. Deer must evade the hunters by either hiding or running. If a ball tags a deer, they are “out” and return to the field where they will be accounted for. A deer may not deflect the ball by any means. However, they may catch the ball and throw it away for the hunter to retrieve. Once a deer has been tagged, they join the hunting party as dogs who can bark when they see a deer nearby. The game ends once all the deer are eliminated or when time runs out.
Another way to play is through tag-touch instead of dodgeball. This tends to be more physical and is best played in Battalion.
