Best Pick Pocket

Required Props:

• Miscellaneous items (pocketknife, keys, book)

• Wallet

• Underwear

Cast:

Counselor #1 – Overconfident, thinks he’s the best at everything.

Counselor #2 – Competitive, always trying to one-up Counselor #1.

Script:

Counselor #1: I’m the best pickpocket ever.

Counselor #2: No way, I’m way better than you.

Counselor #1: Oh yeah? Let’s have a contest to find out.

Counselor #2: Alright, you start over there, and I’ll be over here. We’ll walk past each other and see who’s best.

(They go to opposite sides of the stage, then walk past each other closely, brushing shoulders and saying “Hi” as they pass.)

Counselor #1: (holds up a pocketknife) Ha! I got your new pocketknife!

Counselor #2: So what? I got your keys! (shows keys)

Counselor #1: Okay, let’s go again.

(They repeat the process, each time showing what they stole—a book, a comb, a picture of a loved one, etc.)

Counselor #1: Alright, one last time. Winner takes all!

(They pass once more.)

Counselor #1: (holds up wallet) Look at this! I got your whole wallet—whoa, look at all this cash!

Counselor #2: Wow, that was good. I guess you’d be the winner… if I hadn’t gotten your underwear! (waves boxers/briefs overhead and runs offstage)

(Counselor #1 realizes, gasps, then chases after Counselor #2 as the skit ends.)
